You see longer story shorter story, I use to draw a lot more than I do now. I've always wanted to get better at drawing but drawing random things off the top of my head can only get me so much better. I've always thought that if I could get a plan or a list to follow I could hold myself to it.


So here goes nothing...:

I want a list of 209 characters to draw in 2009.

Where's the list coming from? Hopefully you! From now until the end of the year (or until I get my 209 characters), I'll be taking characters to add to the list.

BIG characters, small characters, famous characters, new characters, your characters, human, nonhuman, serious or comedy, ANY CHARACTER you send me!

I really want to give this a try so I'll need your help. If you could send me characters to draw that would be great, but what would be even greater is if you could send this out to your friends. I want to take on as many suggestions as I can get. Please help with this, I think it will be fun and will help me to focus my drawing skills.

To suggest a character simply post a comment with the CHARACTER'S NAME, and a LINK TO AN IMAGE OF THE CHARACTER. Also might be a good idea to add the original artist or creator for me to credit.
I'd say no limit to number of characters per comment as long as you keep them organized.

Ok, so first let me explain a thing or two. I think of myself as an idea man. I get thoughts in my head that I love to explore. I've worked out whole stories and characters, some in great detail and some just vague concept. Unfortunately I either don't have the drawing skill or dedicated time to bring my ideas to life, whether that be finish concept picture or full on comic.

Now I know there are plenty of creative people out there who have more than enough of their own ideas to work on the rest of their days. But what I want to know is if there are any people opposite of me. People who are very talents at drawing, but maybe lack a creative flare. Maybe not even that but people who don't care so much for plotting stories and character development but just want to draw. People who really want to do some good solid work as an artist that they can show off later.

Maybe someone looking to work with a person or two on an idea. I find that a lot of my ideas are too large to take on by myself and that working alone often gets stale. It's nice to have someone else to share the idea with, to build up a thought, and to keep you in check. I find it's good to have someone to work with because you end up working harder than you would if it was just yourself.

Any idea if there are people like this out there? Any idea where they might be or how to contact them? I know everyone thinks they have the best ideas, and most artists can pull double duty and write and draw their own stuff, but I want to know if anyone would hear me out and see what we can do.


I don't know, felt like posting this on here since I haven't posted any of my recent art from school yet. Might scan a lot of it this week. Maybe, we'll see.

Hey, just got done with my latest video, Robot Halo Chicken 4, (or RHC4 as i like ot call it)

Its the 4th (duh) in a short series of Robot Chicken styled skits done in Halo 3 via RedvsBlue style. Errrrm, its Robot Chicken done in Halo format. But even if you don't play the game you should still be able to laugh at it, its pretty funny.

hey, so ive finally decided to buck down and buy photoshop instead of downloading or burning a cheap older version of it. But as i got online and went to buy a new version of photoshop i got hit by the fact that maybe photoshop isnt what i want. atleast not for $700. (though im using my college money here so price isnt too big a deal i guess)

anyways moral of the story is that i dont know what i need. i have a very cool bamboo digital drawing pad, but i dont have any programs that can use it to its full extent. i need a really good art program, but im not sure if i want photoshop, or illustrator or something else!

heres some facts about this decision:
the best thing i have right now is paint. needless to say i dont use it for art really.
i really just draw on paper with pens and pencils, but i know i have to move my art into the digital age, where i think i cant expand my talent multi-folds.
i dont really do much with photos, i just need a way to take my drawing talent (trust me, im better than my gallery shows, you aint seen nothing yet!) and put it onto the computer.

i need your help and expertise!
